Teleconferencing, Video and Web Conferencing
Connection leading to productivity equaling success
Conference call pricing is very competitive. Because of
the similarity in base conference call pricing, most users,
first decide on what they need from their conference call,
then can shop price.
More often than not, the price of the conference call will
be determined by a per minute basis although there are some
conference call companies that offer their services for a
flat monthly charge. Even then, know what you pay for with a
flat rate service. Oftentimes, the add-ons such as
transcription and recording can add up to be a much higher
cost if you don't have a plan for how you will be using your
conference call line both now and in the future.
Luckily, most conference call companies are easy to work
with. As with most cellular providers, if you see your
conferencing needs going in a different direction than you
initially thought, most companies will work with you to find
a different plan that will cost you less money than if you
had to continually purchase additional features on their
own.
If you are looking for toll free conference calling, this is another consideration when determining conference call pricing and will cost more on a per minute basis as will the operated assisted conference call. Some conference call companies can offer volume discounts.
As we stated above, conference call pricing is extremely competitive. You'll see that most of the better conference call companies charge between 2 and 4 cents per minute. This is not a per guest charge, this charge is a conference call line charge. So, if your cost is 3 cents a minute and you and your guests use the conference call line for 30-minutes, you, as the account holder, will be charged 90 cents for the call.
These are just the per call charges and won't include any extra services. Those are typically charged on a flat rate.
Most flat rate conference call pricing ranges from $50 to $100 per month. Unlike the per call conference call pricing, flat rate pricing typically includes additional services that are paid for a la carte with the per call service. Some businesses choose the flat rate service to avoid having to pay each time they make a call. In addition, many per call plans could require reservations as the conference call number typically changes with each call.
When considering conference call pricing, we certainly can't leave out the free conference call. Obviously the pricing for the free conference call service is free however, make sure this is something you wish to have.
Although many conference call companies that offer users a free conference call number do so with no contracts to sign, there are many benefits a user will not receive when choosing this option. Purchasing ancillary services can add up and if you look at all the options, you may be better off if you have the flat rate service if your estimated usage demands it.
